Twilight Sky over the Ocean City Skyline

Dramatic sky and lighting from Fenwick Island to Condo Row in Ocean City

The skyline of Ocean City, Maryland and Fenwick Island, Delaware is colorfully lit by the evening sun as it sets over the Delmarva Peninsula in the west . This photograph was captured from 350 feet in altitude over the community of West Fenwick and, looking toward the southeast, actually shows about 10 miles of shoreline along the coast. Assawoman Bay is the body of water in the foreground and the Atlantic Ocean, of course, is in the distance beyond the row of buildings on the island.

“Ocean City Skyline at Sunset”

When photographing a sunset, even when creating an aerial image from a drone, it is always a good idea to look in the opposite direction from the sunset. Often the light from the setting sun will create a dramatic sky to the east – especially when there is a mixture of clouds from a passing storm.
