OC Boardwalk Photos at South 1st Street

Prefer to ride the tram rather than walk the boards? Give your tired feet a break.

Walk the OC Boards over a decade and a half ago, virtually, with these S 1st Street Boardwalk Photos from 2006.

South 1st Street and the Boardwalk, Ocean City, Maryland 21842. Prefer to ride the tram rather than walk the boards? Give your tired feet a break. South 1st Street is where the Terminal is for the beginning of the ride. The Northern Terminal is two and a quarter miles away. However, you can board the tram along the way – just wave for it to stop. And to get off at any place along the boards, just raise your hand. But keep in mind that a ticket is only good for one trip – no on-n-off-n-on.

South 1st Street Give your feet a rest as you wait for the Boardwalk Tram to swing by and pick you up here, at the beginning of its route.
Looking north you can see Hermit Crab Headquarters on the left and part of Sea Shell City on the right. Both are great places to find Ocean City souvenirs. Just past Hermit Crab Headquarters is the Haunted House, a sit down ride with a frightening experience.
The Boardwalk Tram begins its route right by Trimper’s Rides. Looking west, you can see the Matterhorn, a fast paced ride that is sure to give you a thrill and have you dancing in you seat to the music.
Turn south to see another one of Trimper’s great rides, the Avalanche and the popular Wac-A-Mole game where you hit a mechanical mole as it pops up to gain points and win a prize. (Looks like it will be open a bit later in the day.)
Go this way for more exciting rides at Trimper’s Amusement Park. See the roller coaster? It goes forward and backward.
