Julia Purnell Museum:
APRIL
Spring Reopening, April 1. Join the museum as it reopens for the spring season and see our newest exhibit. 10 am to 4pm.
Delmarva Hunting Traditions exhibit opening, April 1. View our new exhibit that explores the role of hunting and outdoor life on local history and culture. Exhibit on display through October 30
Locals Free Day, April 3. Lower shore residents receive free admission on this day. Stop by to see what's new at the museum! 1 pm to 4 pm.
MAY
International Museum Day, May 18. Celebrate museums around the globe. Free admission. 10 am to 4 pm.
JULY
Between Fences exhibit opening, July 1. A Smithsonian Institution exhibit comes to Snow Hill! See this exhibit at the Snow Hill Library. Between Fences explores the roles of fences--both literal and figurative--in American history and culture. Look for special Between Fences programming throughout the town. Exhibit admission is free.
Heritage Arts for Kids, July 13 and 27. Kids can learn about history with a hands-on art project. No pre-registration required. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Program is included with general admission of $2 for adults and $.50 for children. 1 pm to 3 pm
AUGUST

SEPTEMBER
Delmarva Needle Art Show and Competition, September 1 through October 30. View our popular exhibit of needle art by local artists. Includes quilts, embroidery, needlework, knitting, crochet and more. Entries are due August 24.
Stiching in Snow Hill, 2nd weekend in September. A whole weekend of textile arts including the Nassawango Outdoor Quilt Show and FiberFest. FiberFest will take place September 10 from 10am to 4pm at the Purnell Museum. Vendors, demos, children's activities, food, live animals and more. Free admission.
OCTOBER
Julia Purnell's Birthday Party, October 27. Commemorate our namesake's birthday. Our gifts to you: free admission and cake. 10 am to 4 pm
NOVEMBER
Homeschool Program, November 10, 10am-12pm. The museum is offering a special program just for homeschool students. They will spend the morning exploring regional history, guided by a museum educator. Fee is $6 per student.
DECEMBER
Victorian Christmas Celebration, December 3. Join the museum for an old-fashioned holiday party, complete with refreshments, music and decorations. Included with general admission of $2 for adults and $.50 for children. 10 am 4 pm.

Quilting is a unique art in which many people around the Delmarva take great pride. Stop by the DDC to view local quilters works, ask questions, or to learn more. Also be sure to buy tickets for the drawing of a beautiful donated quilt from Robinannes Quilting Services!
